Clinical Experience of Melpros for the Patients of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with Postoperative Inflammation

Abstract
Inflammatory tissue reactions following trauma or surgery are physioldgical responses. But, if tissue ¢¥reactions are severe, wound healing is commonly delayed.
Melpors, composed of melilotus extract and proxyphylline, is known to be an effective anti-inflammatory agent.
This report contains clinical experiences of forty patients with postoperative inflammation who were treated with Melpors.
The results were as follows.
1. After forty patients with postoperative inflammation were treated with Melpors, definitive effectiveness of 60% of the tissue swelling, erythema, pain and tenderness of the postoperative wound was resulted. This result was especially higher in the minor operative procedure group only.
2. Synergic effects are expected in combination with antibiotics.
3. There were no complications or abnormalities in the postoperative laboratory test.
